Slime City

There was never a doubt that Slime City are the best band in the world right now but they have doubled down on evidencing this with the release of Never Stop Giving Up, their ‘futility anthem about embracing defeat’.

The last single before the release of their second album National Record Of Achievement (out 21 November 2025) Never Stop Giving Up blends chunky power pop chords, disco synths, and the chanted encouragement that quitting isn’t the action of the half-assed but rather is self-gifted liberation from shit you don’t like. I, for one, need no further validation that giving up was enlightenment not ennui.

‘If you don’t like your job / just leave it (leave it) / If you don’t like your movie / just turn it off (turn it off)’

Never Stop Giving Up is the third track we’ve been given from the new album, following on from You Do The Math(s) and Trigger The Dads. And while we’re happy to take the advice of this latest song we already know the one thing we won’t be giving up is a love for Slime City.

Never Stop Giving Up by Slime City is out digitally now. It is taken from album National Record Of Achievement out on vinyl, CD and digital on 21 November 2025.
