Kicking straight into 2021 with big energy and bigger riffs London power-pop quartet The Other Ones have arrived with a self-titled single as a first taste of the debut album due this spring.

Fuelled by big riffs the ode to empowerment is aimed squarely at those feeling they aren’t enough or who don’t quite fit. Entering with a tumbling rhythm and crunch of guitar, the track is all racing heartbeats and slip and slide emotional-driven sound around big vocals, bringing the energy we all need for a year which is shaping up to be just as challenging as the last.

‘Take my hand / when you don’t feel strong / we’re the freaks / that don’t belong’

About single The Other Ones the band said, “The Other Ones does what it says on the tin. The song is about being an Other One and owning it. Shouting a big fuck you to anyone who told you you’re not enough just by being yourself. We are not alone and there are many of us out there. Embrace being a weirdo and scream along with us.”

Taking influence from all kinds of artists from The Buzzcocks to Kate Bush, David Bowie to My Chemical Romance, they blend these all together into a rush of sound and with instantly memorable hooks and catchy chorus lines you’ll be humming this track for days.

The Other Ones by The Other Ones is out digitally now. A debut album is due on Reckless Yes this spring.
